Stable Audio vs Suno

Checked October 20, 2026

Checked October 20, 2026. Stable Audio's figures are from stableaudio.com/pricing. Suno's figures are from suno.com/pricing, on the monthly and annual toggles.

A credit and a download

Stable Audio generates a full mix or separate tracks, up to 6 minutes, in a web app and a DAW plugin. Free is $0 for 50 credits a month, which the page calls about 12 full-mix generations or 8 multi-track generations. That plan is personal and non-commercial. Solo is $12/month for 660 credits, about 165 full mixes or 110 multi-track, with a commercial license. Session is $30/month for 1,800 credits. Producer is $90/month for 6,000. Studio is $199/month for 14,000. The page says the credit amount resets to the monthly allocation every month.

Suno generates a song. Premier is the plan that lists adding vocals or instrumentals to an existing song. Free is $0: 50 credits a day, 4 generations in a shared queue, uploads up to 8 minutes, no commercial rights, and no monthly song downloads. Pro is $10/month, or $8/month billed yearly. The yearly card says that saves $24. Pro includes 2,500 credits a month, 20 song downloads, and commercial use rights. Premier is $30/month, or $24/month billed yearly, and that card says yearly billing saves $72: 10,000 credits, 60 downloads, and commercial use rights. The annual toggle says save 20%. Included credits do not carry over from day to day or month to month.

What you are allowed to publish

Both free plans refuse a commercial use. Stable Audio says the free plan is personal and non-commercial. Suno says the free plan has no commercial rights and no monthly song downloads, so the free plan does not hand you a file for the timeline. A show with ads, a sponsor, or a paid feed needs a paid plan on either tool, and the terms still govern that use. Suno's page points at the terms for the limits on commercial use.

Stable Audio's paid plans include a commercial license on the hosted app, and the same account opens as a plugin inside a session. Suno's paid plans add downloads, stem separation, and, on Premier, Suno Studio. Enterprise on Stable Audio is for a company with annual revenue over $1 million that wants the models on its own infrastructure. That is a different purchase from a host making an intro.

The tool that finishes the mix

Neither generator levels the voice. Auphonic does: free covers 2 hours a month, and those productions include a jingle. The first monthly plan is $13 for 9 hours. Drop the sting into the edit, then run a loudness pass. The AI music for a podcast intro page is the longer note on using a generated intro without pretending the generator edited the episode. The Podcast editing list is the rest of the editors.

Questions

Can I publish a free Stable Audio or Suno track as a podcast intro?

Stable Audio's free plan is personal and non-commercial. Suno's free plan has no commercial rights and no monthly song downloads. A published show needs a paid plan. Solo is the first Stable Audio plan with a commercial license, at $12/month. Suno Pro is $10/month, or $8/month billed yearly, and it includes commercial use rights.

Do the credits roll over?

Stable Audio's pricing page says the credit amount resets to the monthly allocation every month. Suno says credits included in the subscription do not carry over from day to day or month to month. Suno top-up credits do not expire, and they need an active subscription to use.

Which one is a plugin?

Stable Audio includes the web app and a DAW plugin on every plan, including free. Suno is a web product. Premier adds Suno Studio, which is still Suno's editor, not a plugin inside the show's session.
