Analytics
Analytics tools read a channel or a topic and suggest what to make next. YouTube tools (vidIQ, TubeBuddy) sit on one platform. Metricool and SparkToro look across networks or across search demand. None of them replace the native analytics in YouTube Studio or your podcast host.

Questions
Do I need a third-party YouTube tool?
You need one when you want keyword ideas, competitor views, or thumbnail tests beyond YouTube Studio. If you are not using those screens, Studio is enough.
Can podcast analytics tell me which minute people skip?
Host analytics can, when the host supports it. A social analytics tool will not. Match the tool to the feed you actually publish.
Are the scores comparable across tools?
No. A vidIQ score and a TubeBuddy score are different formulas. Use one tool's trend for your own channel, not a cross-tool ranking.
