Captions
Caption tools transcribe speech and style it for vertical video: word-by-word highlights, line breaks, and emoji some audiences now expect. Accuracy and line breaks matter more than the animation preset.

Questions
Are burned-in captions the same as a caption file?
No. Burned-in captions are pixels in the video. An SRT or VTT file can be turned off and translated. Short-form tools often burn in. Keep a file too if you post the long cut.
Do I still need to read the captions?
Yes. Names, numbers, and slang are where they fail, and those are the words a viewer screenshots.
Can the same tool caption a podcast video and a TikTok?
Often, yes. The style preset should change. A full-frame karaoke caption that works on a short is too loud on a long interview.
