Video editing
Video tools here split into editors that cut footage you shot (CapCut, VEED, Kapwing, Descript) and generators that make footage from a prompt (Runway, Pika, Kling, Luma). A YouTube episode usually needs the first. A B-roll insert may need the second.

Questions
Can an AI editor replace a timeline?
It can take a first pass: silence, captions, reframing, a rough assembly. A video with graphics, music hits, and b-roll still wants a timeline you can override.
What am I paying for in a generative video plan?
Credits. A quoted monthly price is a bundle of seconds, and the seconds get shorter as the model gets newer. Read the credit table, not just the plan name.
Which tools also record the episode?
Descript and Riverside record as well as edit. CapCut, VEED, and the generators expect a file or a prompt.
