A studio bill, or a monthly credit grant

Speechify Studio is voiceover, dubbing, and avatar video. It is not Speechify's text-to-speech reader. That reader is a different subscription. On the yearly view, Free is $0 with 600 Studio credits and no commercial usage rights. Studio Starter is $100/year for 86,400 credits, which the page calls 24 hours of voiceover, 8 hours of dubbing, or 48 minutes of avatar. Studio Creator is $300/year for 345,600 credits. The plan data also lists Starter at $19/month for 7,200 credits and Creator at $49/month for 28,800 credits. A voiceover second is 1 credit, a dubbing second is 3, and an avatar second is 30.

ElevenLabs, from the October 18 listing, is text to speech, cloning, and dubbing on one credit pool. Free is $0 for 10,000 credits a month. The pricing FAQ lists Starter at $6/month for 30,000 credits and Creator at $22/month for 121,000 credits. Annual billing is ten months' price. Paid plans roll unused credits for up to two months. Dubbing is 2,000 to 10,000 credits per minute, against about 1 credit per character for text to speech.

What the free plan lets you publish

Speechify's free card says no commercial usage rights. The FAQ says the free plan lasts as long as you want and has full functionality, and also says downloading an mp3 is when you upgrade. Those two FAQ sentences do not describe the same limit. Paid plans include commercial usage rights, and re-exporting unchanged speech is free.

ElevenLabs Free is a monthly credit grant, enough to test a script. A dubbed minute spends thousands of credits, so a translated episode can empty a plan that narration would not. Typecast, from the October 25 listing, is the other place that prices the download: playback is free, and the credit is the file. Basic is the first commercial license, at $5/month.

Which job you actually have

A narration or a dub, and you want the hours printed next to the credits: Speechify Studio. The avatar rate is the catch. Thirty credits a second means a presenter video is a different budget from a read.

A clone, a sound effect, and a dub in the same credit pool: ElevenLabs. The AI voice and dubbing list is the rest of the voice shelf. Neither tool cuts the episode or hosts the feed.

Questions

Is Speechify Studio the same subscription as the Speechify reader?

No. The pricing FAQ says Speechify Studio and the text-to-speech reader are different subscriptions. Studio is the one that makes voiceovers, dubs, and avatar video for a project you publish.

Can I publish a free Speechify voiceover?

The free card says no commercial usage rights. The FAQ also says downloading an mp3 is the reason to upgrade, after saying the free plan has full functionality. A published episode wants a paid plan, which is the plan that includes commercial rights.

Which one is cheaper for a short narration?

ElevenLabs Starter, on the October 18 listing, is $6/month. Speechify Studio Starter is $19/month or $100/year. The meters differ. Speechify prints hours of voiceover. ElevenLabs prints credits, and a dubbed minute costs far more than a read.
