Maestra vs TurboScribe

Checked October 27, 2026

Maestra was checked October 27, 2026 on maestra.ai/pricing. Yearly billing was selected on the Transcription tab. TurboScribe and HappyScribe are quoted from their listings, last checked October 19, 2026. The [[guide:happyscribe-vs-turboscribe]] page is that pair.

A minute pack, or an unlimited file

Maestra transcribes in 125+ languages. On the yearly Transcription tab, Pay As You Go is $12 per 60 credits, and the card calls that 60 minutes. Lite is $23/month for 180 minutes a month. Basic is $39/month for 360 minutes, with an AI summary, a custom dictionary, and MaestraCloud sharing. Premium is $79/month for 900 minutes, plus teams, one additional member, API access, and priority support. The toggle says yearly saves 20%. The page also carries monthly prices of $29, $49, and $99, which match those savings. There is no $0 plan on that tab.

TurboScribe, from the October 19 listing, is file transcription with speaker labels, translation, and subtitle export. Free, no card, is 3 transcripts a day, each file up to 30 minutes, one upload at a time. Unlimited is $20/month billed monthly, or $10/month billed yearly ($120/year). Paid files can be 10 hours or 5 GB. The account is for one person.

Captions are not the same product

Maestra's pricing page also sells captions and voiceover, on other tabs. Those minute tables were not the ones read for this page. A transcript from the Transcription tab is not a promise about the caption allowance.

TurboScribe's listing says paid exports include SRT and VTT. That is a caption file from the same upload, not a second subscription. HappyScribe, from the same October 19 check, is the tool that adds a human proofreading rate. Free there is a 10-minute trial of AI transcription on uploads. The HappyScribe vs TurboScribe page compares those two prices.

Which file you have

One long interview, and you may not want a subscription: Maestra's $12 pack is 60 minutes. A weekly show that runs past 30 minutes wants either Maestra Lite or TurboScribe Unlimited, because TurboScribe Free stops at 30 minutes a file.

Show notes, the cut, and the host are still other jobs. The Transcription and show notes list is the rest of the transcript shelf. The Podcast editing list is where the file goes after you have the words.
