TimeBolt vs Gling

Checked October 30, 2026

TimeBolt was checked October 30, 2026 on timebolt.io/pricing. Gling and Descript are quoted from their listings, last checked October 18, 2026.

A saved project, or a free hour

TimeBolt cuts silence on your computer and can hand the timeline back as XML. Free is $0: video only, watermarked exports, no XML, and no saving projects. Pro is $17/month, $97/year, or $347 once. The annual toggle says save 52%. Paid plans add audio files, any duration, XML and plugin export, and no watermark on the edit. The page says the video stays on the machine.

Gling cuts silences, bad takes, and filler words, then exports an MP4 or, on a paid plan, XML for Premiere, Final Cut, or Resolve. From the October 18 listing, Free is 1 hour a month with a watermark and no XML. Plus is $20/month or $10/month billed annually for 10 hours. Hours do not roll over. The app is desktop-only.

Filler words are a second bill

TimeBolt's silence cut is the plan. UMCHECK, which removes ums and similar words, is $0.03 a minute of video on a paid plan. Monthly and annual include Banger sharing up to 12 minutes. The lifetime plan's Banger share is 4 minutes and watermarked. Teams are $97 per seat per year.

Gling's paid hours include the filler pass. You are not billed again per minute of ums. The limit is the hour cap, and unused hours do not roll over. Descript, from the same October 18 listing, removes fillers inside the transcript editor. Free is 1 media hour and a watermarked 720p export. Hobbyist is $16/month billed annually. That is a whole editor, not a silence tool.

Which file you already have

A talking-head video you will finish in Premiere, Final Cut, or Resolve: TimeBolt's paid XML export is the reason to pay, and the $347 license is there if you do not want a subscription. Gling's paid XML export is the same handoff, metered in hours, and the free hour is enough to see one video.

A podcast mix where the picture does not matter belongs with Cleanvoice, on the Best AI tools for filler words page. The Video editing list is the rest of the timeline tools. The Podcast editing list is where the episode goes after the pauses are gone.
