Pricing

The annual prices were showing, with the monthly price struck through. Tax may vary by location. Free is $0, no card: 10 credits a day and 100 credits a month, and those credits do not roll over. A full-length song, 2 minutes 10 seconds, is limited to 3 a day, and you can generate up to 4 songs at once. Standard is $10/month, or $8/month billed annually ($96), for 2,400 credits a month, up to 6 songs at once, and 2-minute generations without the 3-a-day cap. That cap and the 2-minute unlock are marked as not included in the free trial. Pro is $30/month, or $24/month billed annually ($288), for 6,000 credits a month and up to 10 songs at once. Paid credits do not roll over. Top-ups on the page are 100 credits for $3 or 1,000 credits for $25. The page does not print how many credits one song costs, or whether a song can run under a monetized episode. Read on udio.com/pricing.

Best for

Hearing a theme or a sting from a prompt, before you decide whether the license covers the show.

Strengths

  • Free does not ask for a card, and the annual prices divide evenly from the monthly ones.
  • Standard is the plan that removes the 3-a-day cap on a full-length song.

Limits

  • The pricing page does not state a commercial right. A sponsored episode is not something this page clears.
  • Included credits do not roll over, and the page does not say how many credits one song spends.
